Skills represent knowledge and ability of an employee. They can be developed through either experience by practical on-the-job training or through classroom learning. Skills can be broadly classified into 3 categories:


Technical Skills: Includes skills required to Design different types of Products/Services, Market the Product/Services and Improve Sales etc., 

Conceptual: Includes skills required for Analysis & Diagnosis, Critical & Strategic Thinking etc., across various functions like Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, HR etc., 

Managerial or Interpersonal Skills Includes skills that are required to work with people


HR Admin will be able to define various Skill Categories available within the organization. To define.... 

 

Navigate to Admin -> Tenant Administration -> Profile Module Setup -> Manage Skill Categories

This opens a new page. In this page there are sections available for both Adding New Skill Categories and this page also lists all the existing Skill Categories previously included in the system. It is also possible to update the details by Edit or Delete an existing category.

To add a new skill category. Click on Cs7s1d1V09jvaP1CH_k43zWcwa20Kbe8IA.png This creates a new row to fill the skill category details.

Add Category enables to include new Skill Categories. There is provision to include a brief description on the skills that are included or covered by this particular category. Subcategory for Skills can be created by selecting one of the categories from the drop-down list in the Parent Category. 

On completing the details click on wWj1wdaFIeSRnm102dn8f9hVbZpXM8bbZQ.png to Save the goal. 


To discard, the details click on gxHZvfNJqdvtsIGMvZA9GBYRD4qx6aKFgw.png


Once done click on Save to include it to the existing list of Skill Categories of the organization. The Confirmation of inclusion of the Skill Category is indicated by a pop-up alert below the taskbar menu in a green ribbon. If the skill category has been assigned to a Parent Category it also indicates the Parent Category. 


To Edit & Update the details of a particular skill category. Click on the row to be edited. Synergita is enabled with inline editor.

To Delete the details of a particular category click on blob1477563966328.pngthis would delete the Skill Category. This triggers a confirmation pop-up message to confirm if the click on the delete button was accidental. Select either OK or Cancel to proceed further.
