An OKR Confidence Level is a straightforward indicator of whether the OKR owner believes that the Key result can be achieved by the due date.

Importance of OKR Confidence Levels

  • While progress on an OKR is always based on quantitative data, confidence levels are subjective. They are crucial for forecasting progress: if the OKR owner loses confidence, it signals that something might be wrong.
  • When an OKR is marked as low confidence, it means the owner doubts they will achieve the goal. In such cases, it's recommended that everyone involved with that OKR comes together to identify ways to get it back on track.
  • Combining confidence levels with progress-over-time provides a comprehensive view of how well the OKRs are performing and enables timely intervention when an OKR is off-track.

Using OKR Confidence Levels in Synergita OKR

  • In Synergita OKR, confidence levels can be updated each time progress is updated.
  • There are three confidence levels: Low, Medium, and High. These levels can be set from the configuration page by changing the range of each level.

  • Each time the progress of a key result is updated, the confidence level must also be updated.
  • The confidence level of a key result is displayed as a column on the OKR Details page and can be viewed anytime.
  • The overall confidence level of the OKR is calculated from the confidence levels of the key results and its contributors, and is displayed next to the OKR name.
  • You can also view the overall history of the progress and confidence levels as graphs by clicking on the icon in the Chart column.
  • This pop-up also shows comments, if the user has added any at the time of updating the progress.
