The HR team can deactivate the employees in a bulk manner in a single shot by uploading the deactivating employee details along with a few required and mandatory columns in the import sheet.
Here are the steps to deactivate employees:
To download the deactivation template, navigate to:
1) Admin > Import/Export
2) Select the Import Employee details
3) In the 01 step, download the employee template.
4) Add the mandatory employee details to the sheet. The required fields for deactivation are marked in bold for your reference. Delete any unnecessary columns and have only the provided columns (sample).
To deactivate an employee, enter the "Relieving Date" (Date Format should be - DD-MMM-YYYY) and set the status to "False" in the employee template along with the required details. Save the details.

5) Under Import & Validate (Step 2, click Choose File to browse to the location where the updated Excel file is stored and click Open.
Then, click Import & Validate.
- The uploaded employee data are validated.
- After the file import and validation completion, you can see the results of your upload with the total number of records successfully validated and the total number of error records.
- If there is validation error, you can download the error file, correct the errors, update and then upload it again.
6 )As a final step, in the 3rd step, select "Update only " and click Start to upload the data.
