In certain situation, an employee may need to make changes or add missing details to a process they have already completed. This usually happens after a discussion with the Manager, Approver or HR. In such cases, the workflow can be reverted, allowing the employee to update their submitted information.
Note: Only an HR Manager has the permission to revert a workflow activity.
GUIDE TO REVERTING A WORKFLOW ACTIVITY:
- Log in as an HR Admin.
- Navigate to: Admin > Revert Workflow (This section allows you to view all open process cycles and manage employee workflow reversion ).
- Choose the process cycle in which the employee is participating.
To find the employee:
- Use the search bar to quickly find the employee by name, or browse through the Employee Directory by clicking the ‘View Employee Directory’ link. Once you locate the user, click ‘View’ to open their details.
Note: Ensure you select the correct process cycle to avoid reverting the wrong activity.
- From the list of workflow activities, click on the specific activity you want the employee to revisit.
- Then, click the REVERT WORKFLOW button (This action will allow the employee to reopen and update the selected activity).
- A dropdown menu will appear showing the action items within that activity. Select the exact action item that needs to be reverted.
- Click REVERT to confirm your selection.
- A confirmation message will appear once the action item has been successfully reverted.
- The employee can now access the activity and make the necessary updates.
After the employee completes the updates, the workflow will continue as usual, following the original approval process.
