Ending a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is the process of formally closing the plan after reviewing the employee’s progress against the goals set during the PIP period. It involves evaluating results, deciding whether the employee has met expectations, documenting the outcome, and officially marking the PIP as completed, extended, or unsuccessful.


Ending a PIP usually involves the following steps:


  • Log in as a manager/HR and navigate to Performance > Manage PIP section where all active plans are listed.


  • Use the search bar to find the specific PIP Plan you want to close.


  • Next to the Review PIP button, click the dropdown menu and choose End PIP.





  • Provide your final remarks, including the recommendation and any closing comments that summarize the employee’s performance during the PIP period. Confirm to Complete the Process


  • Click End PIP to officially close the plan.





  • Once completed, the employee will automatically receive an email notification informing them that the PIP has been concluded.
