Approving team member goals is a key step in ensuring alignment between individual objectives and organizational priorities. This process allows managers to review, validate, and finalize the goals set by employees, ensuring they are clear, achievable, and aligned. This article guides you through the steps to review and approve your team member’s goals efficiently within the system.
To View the Approval Activity, below are the available navigations:
Home Page:
A user can click on the "Proceed to My Action Items" quick link at the home page to access the Approve Goals link.

Dashboard:
Dashboard > "Action Items" Widget > Click on the required link of the respective user.

The Action Items Widget on My Dashboard displays all pending activities to be completed. This widget is enabled with a quick search option to list various pending activities for different employees under the respective users login.
Click the link and the system directs to the action item page.
My Action Items:
A user can navigate to Performance > My Action Items > Set Goals action item link.

Click Approve Goals. The system directs to the Approve Goals page of the relevant employee.

- Review the standard information like Smart Goal name, description, Weightage assigned, Goal Target, Start and Due date of the goal.
- If the smart goals defined is relevant and pertinent to the employee, click Approve.
- Upon Approval of the goals by the Primary Manager , the employee will be published with the goals in the "My Goals and Competencies page".
- If there are any changes or updates to the goals, the manager can reject the goals for, then the set goal activity is reopened for the employee in making the changes.
