Synergita OKR helps in tracking the progress across the organization. Here is the list of Indicators that helps to effectively track the progress.
- Lagging
- On-track
- Leading
The screenshot below shows the lagging and the leading indicators.
While creating an objective, the user sets the target and the due date. Based on the due date, the potential target for each day is set. The Lead, Lag and on-track indicators are derived based on the target achieved versus the proportionate target to be achieved at any given time.
Leading Indicator: When the achievement percentage of the objective is greater than the target meant to be achieved, the objective is leading.
For Example:
The set objective is to bring in 50 leads within 25 days. The indicators can be explained as follows;
From the above objective, the Target for 25 days is 50, then the target for a day will be 2.
If the individual/ team achieves more than the expected target, then the percentage will be calculated as Leading.
Lagging Indicator: When the achievement percentage of the objective is lesser than the target to be achieved, the progress status of the objective is Lagging.
For Example:
The set objective is to bring in 50 leads within 25 days. The indicators can be explained as follows;
From the above objective, the Target for 25 days is 50, then the target for a day will be 2.
If the individual/team achieves less than the expected , then the percentage will be calculated as Lagging.
On-track: When the achievement percentage of the objective is equal to the target to be achieved, the progress status of the objective is On-track.
For Example:
The set objective is to bring in 50 leads within 25 days. The indicators can be explained as follows;
From the above objective, the Target for 25 days is 50, then the target for a day will be 2. If the individual/team achieves the expected target, then the percentage will be calculated as On-track.
Significance of the Indicators:
- Leading indicators are a good sign that the company and its employees are going in the right direction towards achieving the overall objective.
- Lagging indicators help the organization to identify the areas where the progress is not there as expected and push them towards taking remedial measures for the same.
