The Review Period defines the duration of assessment, such as Apr–Mar (financial year) or Jan–Dec (calendar year). Goals are set for the specified review period, and assessments can be conducted monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annually, with achieved targets mapped accordingly.

Most companies follow the financial year (Mar–Apr), while a few follow the calendar year (Jan–Dec). Conducting performance reviews on a quarterly basis can be highly effective in identifying top-performing employees.
